All About Volunteers

Volunteers are the heart of all big events, and Black Rose is no exception. We need your help to make BR 25 a success. No special talent is required, whatever your talents and experience, we will work hard to find a role for you and you will be helping the organization create a wonderful event for all.

Part of the reward of volunteering is making new friends and giving back to the community. Volunteering for BR 25 can include helping people sign in and register at the event, serving on a security shift, or helping ensure a safe world class dungeon as a Dungeon Monitor.

There are two ways to volunteer and help make BR 25 a success:

1. 4 hour volunteer shift; sign up during registration
2. 12 hour volunteer spot; apply now by visiting our Volunteer Information Page.

BR appreciates the hard work of its volunteers. Hence volunteering comes with a few perks. In return for volunteering for a 4 hour shift at the Event, a volunteer receives:

• Volunteer pin, with the BR 25 event logo
• Invitation to an exclusive BR 25 Volunteer Party to be held at The Crucible

In return for volunteering for a 12 hour spot at the Event, a volunteer receives:

• Complementary registration to the event (not including hotel room etc.)
• volunteer pin, with the BR 25 event logo
• Invitation to an exclusive BR 25 Volunteer Party to be held at The Crucible

12 hour volunteers are chosen during an application process, there are a very limited number of positions available. These positions work shifts of 2-4 hours at the time during the event.

Some of the areas we will need volunteers during the event

Registration	Dungeon Monitors (DM)
Vending Monitors (limited slots)	Special Events
Security	Programming (Classroom Monitoring)
Operations	Information Table

 

In addition to the shifts during the Event, we will need help setting up the Event on Thursday Evening and/or Friday Morning and taking the Event down Monday afternoon. While not part of the shift system this activity occurs before and after the event, leaving you free to attend most event activities.
