What is Black Rose?
Black Rose is one of the oldest non-profit BDSM education organizations in the United States. With weekly classes focused on a variety of BDSM and alternative lifestyles issues, BR is one of the leaders of kink education programing in the nation.
What is The Big Event?
The Black Rose "Big Event" started as a celebration of BR's 10th anniversary. Now BR holds this world renowned event almost every year. The Big Event is a very important part of BR's educational mission. It provides funds for weekly educational programing and additional support to the kinky community at large.
What is BR 25?
BR 25 is the 25th anniversary celebration of Black Rose. This year's Big Event, BR 25 will be held at one of the premiere boutique hotels in DC with luxurious amenities for our attendees. We have a large comfortable main dungeon, several smaller more intimate play spaces, a large vending area, fun and fabulous social events and top of the line support from the hotel staff. In addition, the educational sessions will be held in large, comfortable classrooms allowing our presenters to provide the high quality information and insights for which BR is known.
Why should I come?
BR 25 is a chance to expand your toybag, wardrobe, skill set and circle of friends. Come and take advantage of our nationally-renowned speakers, our diverse Leather Market, and our fabulous dungeon while making new friends or playmates. On top of it all, BR attendees represent a diverse cross-section of the kink community, all getting together to celebrate twenty-five years of kinky fun and education in the heart of Washington, DC. It's going to be a great party, we'd hate for you to miss it.
What if I am new or single?
BR 25 welcomes individuals of all ages (19+), experience levels and orientations, single or attached. No matter what you're in to, there's a good chance someone else at the event is interested in it too. Classes range from introductory to advanced, so there is something for everyone. It's also a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends and play partners.
There are a variety of social events scheduled throughout the weekend, so there is no shortage of opportunities to expand your horizons whether you are brand new to BDSM or a long-time veteran of the scene.
Why should I stay in the Event hotel?
The hotel is one of the premiere boutique hotels in our Nation's Capitol. For this event, we strive to give our attendees what they asked for. We booked the entire intimate hotel for our use. No one will be permitted to enter the Event hotel who is not registered for the event. No school groups or nuns, just us. The host hotel is a short 2 block walk from Union Station, and a quick METRO ride from Regan National Airport. Having a room in the Event hotel allows you a place to store your stuff, change your clothes, grab a quick shower, or get some sleep while being only an elevator ride away from all the fun! Whether you need quiet time alone to veg out in front of the TV, check your email, or a place to store your enormous fetish wardrobe, the Event hotel is the most convenient place to stay. Sure, there are other hotels in which you could stay, but staying at the Event hotel makes the whole weekend a much more immersive and enjoyable experience.
What if I have any questions?
Email info@brevent.org with any questions you may have leading up to the Big Event. Additionally, all attendees receive a printed program containing a wealth of information when they check-in at the registration desk.
How to I register?
