What is Black Rose?
Black Rose is one of the oldest pan-sexual non-profit BDSM education organizations in the United States. With classes held every week focused on a variety of BDSM and alternative lifestyles issues, BR strives to be one of the leaders in kink education programs in the nation.

Black Rose the event started as a celebration of Black Rose's 10th anniversary. Since then Black Rose has held a wonderful world renowned event almost every year. The event is a very important part of Black Rose and funds our mission to provide education and support to the kinky community.

This year, our event is again at one of the premiere hotels in DC with top of the line amenities for our attendees. We also have a massive, nearly 11,000sqft main dungeon with over 2000 sqft in smaller play spaces, large vending area, a very large number of meeting rooms for classes and social events and top of the line support from the hotel staff.

Why should I come?
BR09 is a chance to expand your toybag, wardrobe, skill set and circle of friends. Come and take advantage of our nationally-renowned classes, our diverse vending, our fabulous dungeon, or all three. On top of it all, BR attendees represent a diverse cross-section of the kink community, all getting together in a five-star hotel in the heart of Washington, DC.

What if I am new or single?
BR09 welcomes individuals of all ages (19+), experience levels and orientations, single or attached. No matter what you're in to, there's a good chance someone else at the event is interested in it too. Classes range from introductory to advanced, so there is something for everyone. It's also a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends and play partners.

There are a variety of social events scheduled throughout the weekend, so there is no shortage of opportunities to meet new people, whether you yourself are brand new to BDSM or a long-time veteran of the scene.

Why should I stay in the hotel?
The hotel is one of the premiere hotels in our Nation's Capitol. It is a short (2 block) walk from Union Station, and a quick ride from Regan National Airport. Having a room in the hotel allows you a place to store your stuff, change your clothes, bathe, and most importantly, get some sleep! Whether you need quiet time alone to veg out in front of the TV or check your email, or a place to store your enormous fetish wardrobe, the Event hotel is the most convenient place to stay. Sure, there are other hotels you could stay in, but staying at the Event hotel makes the whole weekend a much more enjoyable experience.
